Right now, MATADOR borrows heavily from the same sorts of shows that made Stephen J. Cannell famous - WISEGUY, RENEGADE, SILK STALKINGS - but I think it needs to find its own voice, and become something different (I hesitate to say "better" because Cannell's shows were pretty great for their time).
